Our Purpose Our purpose is to promote growth,
maturity, passion and Christ-likeness through unique spiritual retreats tht are normed by the Word of God , empowered by the Holy Spirit and facilitated by mutual ministry. We aim to help participants grow
to new levels of love and devotion to Jesus Christ, his people and his world. Our
excursions use theological reflection, worship, prayer and mutual ministry to refresh, renew and by rekindle love for God and others. We trust that the Word of God, the the Holy Spirit and
mutual ministry of participants will promote genuine growth in faith, love and devotion to Jesus Christ and His people. We recognize that needs vary from culture to culture, church to church and
person-to-person, so the process of theological reflection is not static but dynamically active through the leading of the Holy Spirit, through prayer and mutual ministry. Our aim is to make the actual
excursion itself a metaphor for the journey of self discovery and increasing intimacy with God, refreshing and renewing participants and encouraging them to learn and grow closer to Jesus Christ in new ways.
We also aim to provide a refreshing environment that will foster the development of the personal spiritual disciplines such as prayer, fasting, reflection upon the word of God, renewal and worship and that will
connect leaders realtionally to each other as a support network. Our Vision:
Our vision is to
create developmental opportunitues and a network of reciprocal ministry among Chrsitians that will provide on going support and encouragement for years to come. Our
goal is that each participant will be positively impacted and will return to their ministries with a newfound love for Christ and for people, reenergized and refreshed, humbled and with a fresh sense of gratitude
to God for his steadfast love and mercy. We trust that lasting friendships among fellow participants will develop and that they will become mutual peer mentors that will support and encourage
each other in their calling. . We also seek to be a resource for our participants to share mutual experiences, insights and resources through an informal network that will facilitate
on going interaction and reflection among our alumni. We are theologically orthodox and biblical, yet we seek to always be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, remaining open to whatever future
direction God may take us in our ministry. Ultimately we seek to glorify God and bring joy to the body of Christ as we serve Him and His people.
What We Do: We provide unique mentored excursions that are designed to refresh one's relationship with God, to stimulate leadership development, and to
stretch participants theologically, experientially, and in the exercise of the spiritual disciplines. As excursions are developed they will be varied in nature and scope, from sailing the Canadian Great
Lakes to experiencing Messianic Hebrew Kibbutz life. Currently we are oraganizing sailing excursions for the summer of 2009. Each excursion is limited to a small number of participants (4-6) and
personally designed by our faculty to provide participants with a transformative life experience in a highly developmental and nurturing Christ centered environment. Our goal is to also provide participants
with lifelong peer mentors and friends that be a source of ongoing support and encouragement for years to come. |
